Meet Our Veterinary Receptionists

Shannon J., Head Receptionist Shannon began working as a Veterinary Receptionist in 1994. Her love of animals both large and small originally led her to take courses in Animal Husbandry and propelled her into the veterinary field. Shannon is the proud owner of a rambunctious lab mix named Roxy, who was rescued from the Lancaster animal shelter in 2009, and a very sweet cockatiel named Matzah, whom she lovingly calls Baby Bird. In her spare time, Shannon enjoys retail therapy, fine cuisine, reading a good novel, the company of her friends, and watching ice hockey. GO KINGS!
Toni, Veterinary Receptionist A long-time client when she was asked to join the staff in 1988, Toni was pleased at the chance to become more involved in the growth of her veterinary hospital. Over the years, this opportunity has continued to be rewarding, educational, and above all, enjoyable. Getting to know the other clients and their pets has been a special bonus. Over the years, she has fed, groomed, patched or pilled a motley assortment of horses & ponies, dogs, cats, rabbits & pocket pets, ducks & chickens, plus one belligerent goose and a gimpy raven. Addicted to Maine Coons, thrift stores, Google, and time shared with her family, she's currently trying to master the art of bread making.
Moana, Veterinary Receptionist Moana earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz in Feminist Studies in 2006, and has also completed courses in Animal Sciences at Pierce College of Los Angeles. Before starting at Agoura Animal Clinic in 2012, she worked for Canine Adoption Rescue League and volunteered for Shadow Oaks Wildlife Rescue. Moana chose a career in veterinary care because of her lifelong passion for helping animals. She has an adorable rescued terrier named Lionel. In her spare time, Moana enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, relaxing in hot springs, dancing, music, and hiking. She also has a passion for social justice and is an advocate for pet adoption and rescue.
Kelsey, Veterinary Receptionist Kelsey joined our staff in September 2016 after leaving Nashville, Tennessee to return to her hometown. Kelsey started working in the veterinary field back in 2012 and has always had a strong love for animals, both large and small. She has volunteered at Boxer Rescue in Los Angeles and is a passionate rescue advocate. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her horses, and hiking with her five dogs.
Tabitha, Veterinary Receptionist Tabitha became part of the Agoura Animal Clinic team in August of 2016. She is an avid outdoorswoman as well as a lover of gardening, history and books. She loves every creature, big and small, especially cats. She lives locally with her boyfriend and their two rescue cats, Gizmo and Autumn.
